Paddy Pimblett's unanimous decision loss to Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight title at UFC 324 in January has left the #6-ranked contender without an announced opponent for his targeted July return around International Fight Week, fueling tightly clustered trader consensus among top lightweights. Mateusz Gamrot, freshly elevated to #7 after a dominant recent victory, issued a direct callout to Pimblett alongside Benoît Saint Denis and Arman Tsarukyan, boosting his implied probability. Saint Denis leads rumors, including a mid-March report targeting their clash for UFC 330 and Pimblett's own post-fight callout for an all-European showdown. Dan Hooker's #8 ranking, stylistic intrigue, and mutual trash talk—echoed by Renato Moicano labeling all three as "easy money"—keep the race neck-and-neck in the crowded division.
