Challenger mainstay Ilia Simakin, ranked No. 227 with a career high of 214 earlier this year, relies on his powerful right-handed baseline game but lacks Bolt's recent consistency in Asia swing events. No head-to-head history exists for this first-round matchup, with Bolt's lefty serve-and-volley style potentially exploiting Simakin's vulnerabilities, though the 22-year-old Russian's youth and reach offer upset potential. No injuries reported; clear conditions expected with mild temperatures around 70°F.
