This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 31 Jul '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/us/tx/austin/KAUS. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Persistent mid-level ridging centered over the southern Plains is sustaining clear skies, strong daytime heating, and minimal cloud cover across central Texas, supporting highs near or slightly above the July 31 climatological normal of 99°F. Recent NWS guidance highlights continued hot, dry conditions through month-end with afternoon temperatures climbing into the upper 90s to low 100s under light winds and high solar insolation. Model consensus points to a narrow range around 100°F, with minor differences in boundary-layer moisture or subtle steering flow determining whether readings peak in the 98–99°F or 100–101°F bin; any unexpected increase in afternoon cumulus or a slightly stronger southerly return flow could tip the maximum lower. Traders are weighting the 100–101°F outcome highest because ensemble guidance and recent verification favor the warmer side of normal in this ridge-dominated pattern.
