Rare perfect games remain exceptionally uncommon in MLB, with just 24 recorded across more than 150 years and over 243,000 contests. The most recent occurred in June 2023, and none have been thrown in the 2024–2026 seasons despite thousands of opportunities. Entering late August 2026, with roughly six weeks remaining, the absence of any such outing aligns with historical droughts and modern factors including strict pitch counts, specialized bullpen usage, advanced analytics, and defensive shifts that reduce the chance of nine hitless, walk-free innings. Recent complete games in 2026 have featured hits or baserunners, underscoring the difficulty. Trader consensus at 92.5% on “No” reflects this established scarcity and the limited window left in the schedule.

A “Perfect Game” is achieved when a pitcher throws a complete game without allowing a baserunner.
If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after November 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined if a Perfect Game occurred within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “No”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the MLB; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
