Arsenal and Manchester City sit neck-and-neck as the leading contenders for 2026-27 Premier League runner-up status, reflecting their respective strengths as defending champions and a squad rebuilding under new manager Enzo Maresca. Recent summer transfers, including Arsenal’s addition of Bruno Guimarães and ongoing pursuits for attacking reinforcements, alongside City’s efforts to replace Rodri with targets like Enzo Fernández, have kept squad depths competitive ahead of the August 21 kickoff. Liverpool’s position trails due to transitional elements post-World Cup and variable pre-season form, while the promoted sides and mid-table clubs introduce further variance in a season shaped by eight new managerial appointments and fixture congestion. Trader consensus highlights the narrow margins driven by unresolved transfer deadlines and squad integration challenges across the top clubs.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Premier League for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Premier League (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Premier League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
