Both Italian players contest the M25 Caltanissetta final on outdoor clay, with Luca Potenza (ATP 458) holding a slight ranking edge over Massimo Giunta (ATP 506). Potenza arrives after three straight-set or comeback wins in the draw, including a resilient quarterfinal victory over Mae Malige, showcasing strong baseline consistency and serving under pressure on the slow surface. Giunta advanced by defeating Giulio Perego in the semifinals, maintaining solid recent form on clay. Their limited prior meetings add uncertainty, while the home-soil setting and final-stage fatigue for both could influence endurance and decision-making in what projects as a competitive, physically demanding encounter.
