The Milwaukee Brewers host the Washington Nationals in a pivotal rubber match of their three-game series at American Family Field, with traders weighing the Nats' momentum from road wins in the first two contests—a 3-1 pitching duel victory on April 11 behind Foster Griffin and an 8-6 offensive outburst on April 12 featuring James Wood's four hits. Starting arms pit Zack Littell (0-1, 4.20 ERA) against Brandon Woodruff (1-0, 4.32 ERA), both capable of limiting damage amid shaky early-season bullpens. Brewers' skid has reached five games, compounded by injuries including Christian Yelich's hamstring strain exit yesterday, Brice Turang's lingering ankle tendinitis, and pitchers Kyle Harrison and Brandon Sproat day-to-day with knee issues; Nationals' Ken Waldichuk also departed hurt. Home advantage and desperation could fuel a Brewers bounce-back, but Nats' hot bats signal upset potential.
