The Ligue 2 runner-up market for 2026-27 sits in a tight cluster as the campaign opens, with multiple sides sharing comparable implied probabilities driven by recent Ligue 1 relegations that added experienced squads at Montpellier HSC, FC Nantes, Stade de Reims, and AS Saint-Étienne. Pre-season transfer windows, squad depth, and managerial continuity at clubs such as En Avant Guingamp, FC Metz, Grenoble Foot 38, and Red Star FC keep the field balanced, while historical patterns show promotion races often hinge on early results, injury resilience, and home form rather than preseason favorites. This setup produces even pricing that mirrors the division's typical parity and the potential for any contender to surge or fade based on the first months of fixtures.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Ligue 2 for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Ligue 2 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Ligue 2; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
