The Houston Astros hold a two-game lead over the Texas Rangers in the AL West with roughly 16 games remaining, a narrow edge reflected in the 76.5% implied probability for Houston to claim the division title. Yordan Alvarez’s MVP-caliber season, leading the league in batting average, home runs, and RBIs, has anchored an otherwise middling Astros offense and rotation hampered by injuries. Texas remains within striking distance thanks to contributions from Corey Seager and recent lineup reinforcements, yet inconsistent pitching and a sub-.500 record keep their odds at 18%. The Mariners and Athletics sit six and 15.5 games back, respectively, with negligible chances amid the division’s overall weakness. Recent head-to-head results and late-season roster moves have done little to shift the narrow gap between the top two clubs.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the team whose listed nickname comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named the 2026 American League West division champion per the rules of the MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”.
If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Baseball (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
