Recent announcements from Myspace owners Tim and Chris Vanderhook in the August 2026 documentary have highlighted plans to relaunch the platform with nostalgic features like customizable profiles, Top 8 lists, and chronological feeds, amid user growth to around 6 million monthly active users and its first profitable year in over a decade. However, the statements emphasize waiting for the "right time" without any confirmed 2026 release date or timeline, following prior unsuccessful revival efforts. Traders appear to weigh the crowded social media landscape, intense competition from established platforms, and execution risks as significant barriers, supporting the strong market-implied odds against a full relaunch materializing before year-end. Upcoming catalysts could include concrete announcements or developer updates, but current developments point to extended uncertainty.

This market will resolve to "Yes" if Myspace is relaunched between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
A qualifying relaunch is defined as the launch of a materially new or substantially redesigned version of the Myspace platform or service that is officially presented as a relaunch, revival, return, comeback, or new version of Myspace by Myspace or its owners.
The relaunch must be live and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice.
The continued availability of the existing Myspace website, ordinary updates or redesigns to the existing platform, the restoration or addition of individual features, or an announcement of plans to relaunch Myspace will not alone qualify.
The release must be either clearly defined and publicly announced as being accessible to the general public or otherwise made publicly accessible and explicitly labeled within the company’s official website (Myspace.com), an official Myspace subdomain, another official URL, an official mobile application or similar. Labeling errors, placeholder text, or version names displayed on the website that do not correspond to a model that is actually accessible to the general public will not qualify.
The primary resolution source will be the Myspace platform or service, as well as official information from Myspace and its owners, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
