Luka Pavlovic enters as the clear ranking favorite over Juan Pablo Ficovich in their first-round Morelia Challenger clash on clay, with Pavlovic at No. 212 ATP riding momentum from a Bucharest Challenger quarterfinal run and solid European clay results, while Ficovich, ranked No. 557, has struggled lately with early exits in ITF events and limited Challenger experience. No prior head-to-head exists, but Pavlovic's superior serve, baseline consistency, and recent form give him an edge in this high-altitude venue; Ficovich relies on grinding rallies but faces stylistic disadvantages. Traders note Pavlovic's 6-3 clay record over the past month versus Ficovich's 2-5, with weather forecasts favoring dry conditions and no reported injuries. Home crowd minimal for both as Serbian meets Argentine.
