Gojo (world No. 181, 8th seed), the 6-5 Croatian big-server, dropped just one tiebreak set en route, grinding past qualifier Quinn Vandecasteele 6-3 6-7(6) 7-5 in the round of 16 before straight-sets quarterfinal and semifinal wins over Rodrigo Pacheco Mendez (7-6(3) 6-4) and Nicolas Mejia (6-4 7-6(5)). Ficovich (No. 208), the resilient Argentine, navigated three-setters against fifth seed Shintaro Mochizuki and Luka Pavlovic (6-1 3-6 6-3 in semis), showcasing baseline tenacity. At altitude-favoring Morelia, Gojo's serve edge holds sway, but Ficovich's return game or fatigue from longer matches could flip sentiment pre-match.
