Pablo Carreno Busta faces Sebastian Ofner in the Alicante Challenger on hard courts, where the Spaniard holds a clear home advantage and strong surface history, boasting a 65% win rate on indoor hard over the past two years. Carreno Busta, ranked around No. 150 after a injury-plagued comeback, advanced past qualifiers this week with straight-set wins, showing improved movement and serve efficiency. Ofner, the No. 130 Austrian, rides momentum from a recent title in Genoa Challenger but struggled in early Alicante rounds, dropping sets amid serve inconsistencies. Their head-to-head stands at 1-1, with each winning on the opponent's favored surface; no major injuries reported, though weather remains ideal for play. Traders weigh Carreno Busta's crowd boost and fresher legs against Ofner's aggressive baseline game in this closely contested quarterfinal matchup.
