Matthew Dellavedova holds the ranking edge at approximately No. 311 compared to Shunsuke Mitsui’s No. 648, reflecting greater depth in recent hard-court results and a higher volume of matches won in 2026. Both players arrive with strong momentum—Mitsui has posted multiple straight-set victories in Taipei qualifying and early rounds, while Dellavedova has compiled an extended win streak across ITF events on the surface. Their lone prior meeting on hard courts ended with Dellavedova leading before Mitsui retired in the second set. Key variables include second-serve effectiveness and break-point conversion in what projects as a competitive semifinal on outdoor hard courts, where recent form and physical recovery from the tournament schedule will influence outcomes.
