The 2026 Uruguayan Primera División remains wide open for runner-up honors after the opening Clausura matches, with Nacional and Peñarol facing stiff competition from a deep field that includes Boston River, Cerro, Liverpool, and others. Early results show several clubs earning points from their first fixtures while the traditional giants sit level or slightly behind, underscoring how quickly momentum can shift in a league defined by physical matches, short turnarounds, and solid defensive organization rather than overwhelming dominance by any single side. Head-to-head history favors the big two, yet recent seasons have seen mid-table sides like Defensor Sporting and Racing Club sustain strong campaigns through consistent home form and key squad depth. With roughly half the schedule left and no major injury clusters reported, traders see comparable implied probabilities across contenders because schedule strength, tactical adjustments, and late-season pushes can easily reorder the table.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Uruguayan Primera División for the 2026 season per the rules of Uruguayan Primera División (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Uruguayan Primera División; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
