Arsenal and Manchester City lead the runner-up market due to their status as the clearest title contenders entering 2026-27, with Arsenal seeking a repeat championship under the continuity of Mikel Arteta while City rebuilds under new manager Enzo Maresca. Recent summer transfers have reshaped several squads, including Arsenal’s high-profile addition of Bruno Guimarães to strengthen midfield depth and Chelsea’s overhaul with Xabi Alonso in charge. Liverpool’s transition to Andoni Iraola and Manchester United’s settled setup add further variables, while broad squad investments across the top six create uncertainty in final standings. These developments, combined with typical preseason form and fixture challenges, keep the implied probabilities tightly contested among the leading sides.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Premier League for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Premier League (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Premier League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
