Steve Beaton and Ted Evetts enter their MODUS Super Series encounter at even implied odds due to contrasting profiles that offset each other on the oche. The 62-year-old Beaton, a 1996 BDO world champion, brings decades of experience and has used the weekly Portsmouth schedule to maintain sharpness between Challenge Tour outings, posting recent group-stage wins alongside narrow defeats. Evetts, the 29-year-old former World Youth champion ranked 161 on the PDC Order of Merit, counters with superior recent consistency, including Challenge Tour titles and strong scoring averages in 2026 events. Their stylistic matchup—Beaton’s steady finishing against Evetts’ pace and power—plus limited prior head-to-head data, leaves traders seeing minimal edge either way, with any late form swing or average differential likely to shift the line.
