The NHL's 2026-27 title race remains wide open, with implied probabilities clustered tightly among a deep group of contenders and no team exceeding 13%. Parity across the league, driven by strong drafting, balanced salary caps, and consistent regular-season performance from clubs like the Panthers, Hurricanes, Avalanche, and Oilers, keeps the market bunched. Recent offseason roster adjustments, including key free-agent signings and contract extensions, plus the return of experienced cores from prior playoff runs, reinforce this depth without creating a clear frontrunner. Historical patterns of upsets and short regular-season-to-playoff transitions further support the even distribution of trader sentiment heading into training camp.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to be named as the champion of NHL for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NHL (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
