The tightly bunched probabilities around 30-35% for Marcel Sabitzer and Martin Ødegaard reflect a wide-open race for most assists at the World Cup, where multiple creative midfielders and attacking players hold comparable roles in their national teams' setups. This competitive dynamic stems from the unpredictable nature of tournament play, with outcomes hinging on factors like minutes played, set-piece involvement, and team progression through qualifying and group stages. Several wingers and playmakers from established and emerging squads share similar recent international form and stylistic fit for generating chances, keeping implied probabilities clustered as traders weigh roster depth and matchup variables across the field.
