Persistent high pressure and sunny conditions are supporting trader consensus around a 94-95°F high for Houston on September 18, with recent NOAA-aligned model guidance indicating mid-90s readings amid above-normal warmth. This pattern features light easterly winds, dew points in the low 70s, and minimal cloud cover that favors strong daytime heating, contrasting with the 88-89°F climatological normal for the date. Low precipitation chances further reduce cooling from storms, while the broader late-summer ridge has kept recent highs in the mid- to upper 90s. Official observations from Houston Hobby or Bush Intercontinental will resolve the market, with any late-day sea breeze or minor moisture shift representing the main variables that could trim the peak into the low 90s.
