**Persistent high pressure and clear skies are sustaining hot, dry conditions across southeast Texas, positioning mid-90s readings as the most probable outcome for Houston’s September 21 high.** Official National Weather Service and private model guidance converge on daytime maxima of 95–96°F under sunny to mostly sunny skies, light southeast winds, and dew points in the low-to-mid 70s that support strong surface heating without significant cloud cover or precipitation. This aligns with climatological norms for late September, when average highs reach the low 90s but recent heat-dome persistence has elevated readings several degrees above baseline. A pattern shift and approaching cold front are expected to moderate temperatures later in the week, but no such cooling arrives before the 21st. The market’s heavy weighting toward the 94–95°F bin (57.5%) reflects this tight forecast consensus, while the modest 17.5% on 96–97°F accounts for minor model spread and potential urban heat-island enhancement.
