Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and supporting models project Atlanta's September 17 overnight low in the upper 60s under mostly clear skies, light east winds, and moderate humidity, favoring the 68-69°F bin at 32% market-implied odds. Radiative cooling overnight will be the dominant factor, with clear conditions allowing efficient heat loss from the surface while dew points near 60°F limit further drops and light winds reduce mixing that could otherwise moderate temperatures. Recent stability under high pressure has kept conditions consistent, with no frontal passages or significant moisture advection expected to alter the trajectory before resolution. Historical September averages near 65°F provide context, but current model consensus points to slightly warmer readings due to the ongoing warm spell. Updated NWS briefings and evening model runs will refine exact thresholds.
