**Forecast consensus from National Weather Service and other models points to a high temperature in the mid-90s for Houston on September 15, 2026, aligning with the market's tight split between 94-95°F (47%) and 92-93°F (40.5%).** Current atmospheric conditions feature a ridge of high pressure supporting mostly sunny skies, light southeast winds of 5–10 mph, and dew points in the mid-70s that maintain high humidity without widespread cloud cover or precipitation to limit daytime heating. Official point forecasts from the National Weather Service and multiple sources consistently indicate highs near 94°F, with heat indices approaching 106–107°F. This exceeds the long-term September 15 average high of roughly 89°F but fits the pattern of recent days, which have seen readings in the mid-to-upper 90s under similar synoptic setups. Key variables that could shift the exact outcome within the narrow 92–95°F band include minor differences in afternoon cloud timing, wind speed, or boundary-layer moisture in updated model runs. No significant fronts, tropical influences, or major forecast revisions have emerged in the past 24–48 hours to alter the baseline expectation.
