Recent National Weather Service-aligned forecasts project a high of 94°F for Houston on September 14, driven by southerly flow, high dew points near 75°F, and heat indices exceeding 105°F amid partly to mostly sunny skies with a 40% afternoon storm chance. This positions 92–93°F as the market leader while keeping 94–95°F viable, as scattered convection could cap the peak or allow brief clearing to push readings higher. Late-summer climatology shows typical September maxima near 89–90°F, but persistent warmth this season and limited frontal influence support elevated outcomes. Model consensus remains tight ahead of overnight resolution, with any shift in steering patterns or precipitation timing the main variable that could alter the final maximum.
