Recent forecasts from regional models point to a peak temperature near 30–31°C in Panama City on September 14, driven by typical late-rainy-season conditions with high humidity, light variable winds, and afternoon convective showers that limit intense solar heating. Official climatology shows September daytime maxima averaging 29–30°C, with frequent cloud build-up and thunderstorms capping extremes. Trader emphasis on 31°C (42.5% implied) aligns with model consensus for a modest daytime rise before precipitation develops, while lower probabilities for 32°C or higher reflect the moderating effect of expected cloud cover and moisture. No significant deviations from seasonal norms appear in current guidance, keeping resolution sensitive to the exact timing and coverage of any storms.
