Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and supporting models indicate modest overnight cooling for San Francisco on August 30, with the lowest temperature at SFO expected near 55–57°F amid a persistent marine layer, light southwest onshore flow, and sea surface temperatures held cool by coastal upwelling. This typical late-summer pattern, reinforced by the California Current, keeps overnight lows clustered in the mid-50s near the 56°F climatological average while limiting radiative cooling under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Trader consensus has concentrated implied probability on the 56–57°F bin as model guidance shows limited spread in minimum temperatures, with any thinner marine layer or lighter winds offering only modest upside risk and stronger flow favoring the lower end of the range. Resolution depends on the official NOAA observation at SFO, with final data releases expected shortly after midnight.
