This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Singapore Changi Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 4 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=wsss If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Strong scientific consensus from official forecasts and prevailing dry monsoon conditions supports the market's dominant 94% implied probability for a 28°C low in Singapore on September 4, 2026.** The Meteorological Service Singapore (under NEA) and multiple models project minimum temperatures remaining above 27°C on most nights during the first fortnight of September, with specific outlooks for September 4 showing overnight lows of 27–28°C (81–82°F) under fair, occasionally windy southeast to southwest monsoon flow. Dry conditions suppress cloud cover and rainfall, limiting nocturnal cooling while high humidity (often 70–90%) and regional haze from Sumatran and Kalimantan fires reduce radiative heat loss, keeping nights warm. Recent 24-hour observations and hourly guidance consistently place the daily minimum near or at 28°C, aligning with historical September baselines where lows rarely dip below 26–27°C absent major weather shifts. Traders' skin-in-the-game consensus reflects this model agreement and the low likelihood of rapid change before midnight resolution. A realistic challenge would require an unforecasted surge in localized convection or thicker cloud cover to trap additional heat and push the minimum to 29°C or higher, or an atypical influx of cooler maritime air—both low-probability events given current steering patterns and the ongoing dry spell. Updated official briefings or final station readings (e.g., Changi or Paya Lebar) could still refine the exact value within the narrow 27–29°C band.
