Samir Hamza Reguig holds the ranking edge at approximately 680 compared to Piet Luis Pinter’s position near 1250, giving the Algerian a clearer path on the M15 Poprad clay courts. Reguig’s recent results include straight-set victories that highlight stronger baseline consistency and experience at this level, while Pinter, a 21-year-old Austrian, has shown vulnerability in recent clay outings, including a lopsided loss in Wels. The slow surface favors longer rallies where Reguig’s two-handed backhand and physical maturity provide advantages, though Pinter’s youth and proximity to the event could aid adaptation in his first-round matchup. No prior head-to-head exists, leaving recent form and official rankings as the primary drivers of current market positioning.
