Rinky Hijikata and Marc Polmans enter this Wimbledon first-round doubles clash with a clear experience edge on grass, highlighted by Hijikata’s prior Grand Slam doubles title and 2025 Wimbledon final appearance. The Australian pair’s combination of established ATP-level results and familiarity with the surface contrasts with Jakob Schnaitter and Mark Wallner’s profile as a rising tandem that captured its first ATP title earlier in 2026 but has posted inconsistent results on faster courts. Schnaitter/Wallner hold recent career-high doubles rankings near the top 40, yet lack the depth of major-tournament exposure that typically sustains longer runs at the All England Club. Current trader consensus reflects these disparities in proven grass-court pedigree and head-to-head history, with no prior meetings between the teams.
