Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Hong Kong Observatory's official observations from its reference station at King's Park—the benchmark for maximum air temperature—recorded a peak of 29.2°C on May 3, 2026, driving the market's 100% implied probability for 29°C as the unanimous trader consensus backed by real capital. This aligns with pre-event 9-day forecasts projecting around 29°C under mainly fine conditions transitioning to showers from a nearby cold front and thunderstorms over Guangdong, consistent with early May's normal to above-normal temperatures amid subtropical high pressure influence. Realistic challenges are minimal post-measurement, limited to rare data revisions from quality checks or instrument recalibrations, though preliminary readings from automated stations carry high reliability. Final monthly verification expected soon.
