Current National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance indicates a low in the mid-to-upper 50s Fahrenheit for Atlanta on September 26, driven by clearing skies, light northerly winds, and enhanced radiational cooling under high pressure following recent frontal passage. This setup favors minimum temperatures several degrees below the 1991–2020 climatological average of 62.5°F, though still well above the historical record low of 43°F. With resolution hinging on the precise overnight minimum at official stations, traders weigh subtle differences in boundary-layer moisture, wind speed, and cloud cover that can shift the low by several degrees. The closely matched market-implied odds on the coldest and warmest extremes highlight remaining model spread and sensitivity to the final 24–48 hours of guidance updates.
