This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 American League Rookie of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Kevin McGonigle anchors the AL Rookie of the Year market at 90% implied probability due to his comprehensive 2026 campaign with the Detroit Tigers. The 22-year-old infielder, splitting time between shortstop and third base, leads qualified AL rookies in WAR near 6.7 while posting a .274/.376/.424 slash line, 17 home runs, 65 RBI, 12 stolen bases, elite plate discipline with a 13.7% strikeout rate, and an All-Star selection. His early-season power surge, consistent on-base skills, and defensive contributions at premium positions have created a sizable gap over pitching challenger Parker Messick. A late injury, sharp September decline, or unexpectedly dominant finish from another eligible rookie could narrow the margin before voting concludes.
