This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 National League Rookie of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The tight NL Rookie of the Year race reflects a head-to-head battle between Cincinnati's Sal Stewart and St. Louis' JJ Wetherholt, whose complementary profiles keep implied probabilities nearly even. Stewart's power surge, including a strong July with multiple home runs and league-leading rookie RBIs plus extra-base hits, fuels his edge in traditional counting stats and All-Star recognition. Wetherholt counters with superior WAR driven by elite defense at second base, baserunning value, and consistent on-base skills despite a recent batting dip. Carson Benge trails as a distant third, while pitchers like Nolan McLean show promise but lack the volume to close the gap before season's end. Trader consensus prices this as a two-man contest with limited room for late surges.
