This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 National League Rookie of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**JJ Wetherholt leads NL Rookie of the Year betting markets at 59.5% implied probability due to his elite defensive metrics and solid all-around production for the Cardinals.** Through roughly 100 games, the second baseman has posted a .251-.253 average with 15-16 home runs, 40-plus RBI, double-digit steals, and an OPS near .74 while generating 4.1 WAR—driven heavily by leading MLB in outs above average. Sal Stewart sits second at 18.5% on stronger power output (.254 average, 22-23 home runs, 80-plus RBI, .80 OPS) for the Reds, including All-Star recognition, though his lower overall WAR reflects less defensive impact. Other candidates like Nolan McLean trail far behind as the market consensus reflects Wetherholt’s broader value edge in a tightly contested rookie class.
