Shohei Ohtani commands a 40.5% implied probability for 2026 NL MVP on trader consensus, driven by his historic two-way dominance with the Dodgers—fresh off a World Series win and 2025 pitching return—positioning him for unprecedented stats amid LA's powerhouse lineup. Juan Soto's 14% trails despite his mega-Yankees deal, fueled by faint trade rumors back to NL contenders, while Ronald Acuña Jr. (10.5%) rebounds from ACL woes with Braves speed-power upside. Fernando Tatis Jr. (7.5%) and Elly De La Cruz (6%) surge on Padres/Reds breakout trajectories, as Bryce Harper, Mookie Betts, and Francisco Lindor hover around 5-6% via Phillies/Dodgers/Mets title contention. Recent Ohtani MVP repeat buzz and Acuña's offseason training clips amplify frontrunner odds.
