Silver prices have consolidated near $58 per ounce in late July 2026 after a sharp correction from January peaks above $120, reflecting profit-taking and shifting rate expectations following the Federal Reserve’s June hold at 3.50–3.75%. Structural industrial demand—driven by solar photovoltaics, EVs, and electronics, which account for roughly 60% of total use—continues to underpin the market amid persistent supply deficits, while investment flows remain sensitive to real yields and dollar strength. JP Morgan projects a 2026 average near $81, though near-term volatility hinges on upcoming FOMC communications, inflation data, and any shifts in monetary policy that could alter the path for precious metals.
