Rodrigo Pacheco Mendez, ranked No. 270, holds a clear edge as the home favorite in this ATP Challenger Mexico City round of 16 clay-court clash against qualifier Bor Artnak (No. 479), their first head-to-head. Pacheco advanced yesterday with a commanding 6-2, 6-2 upset over higher-ranked Mackenzie McDonald, building on his recent clay form including a San Luis Potosi Challenger semifinal last week. Artnak, showing resilience, grinded out a 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 first-round win over Alan Magadan after qualy victories over Patrick Zahraj and others. Traders factor Pacheco's ranking, crowd support at Centro Deportivo Chapultepec, and surface affinity against Artnak's momentum, with no reported injuries or withdrawals.
