Trader consensus prices Alexander Blockx at 50% implied probability for his BMW Open second-round clash with Yannick Hanfmann on Munich's clay courts, capturing the matchup's razor-thin balance between the 21-year-old Belgian wildcard's rising momentum and the 34-year-old German's proven home dominance. Blockx, ranked No. 91 after a career-high No. 88 in March, impressed with a qualifying run to the Monte-Carlo R16 last week before falling to Alex de Minaur, showcasing big-serving prowess suited to slower surfaces. Hanfmann, No. 55 and 6-0 lifetime in Munich openers, advanced via a gritty 7-6(4), 4-6, 6-3 upset over Miami champion Jakub Mensik in R1, bolstered by crowd support and prior 2-0 head-to-head edge on hard. A late injury report, weather delays, or Blockx's serve holding firm could swing odds, with no such updates yet.
