Alex Bolt, ranked No. 154, holds the experience edge as a direct entry into the Busan Challenger's main draw on outdoor hard courts, where he has a 6-7 record this year, but enters off a second-round loss to Etcheverry in Houston on April 1. Challenger qualifier James McCabe (No. 235) carries momentum from three straight hard-court wins in Busan qualifying last week, including 6-3, 6-2 over Pleshivtsev and 6-4, 6-2 against Palan, following an ITF M25 Maanshan semifinal exit on April 11. McCabe leads their sole head-to-head 1-0 on hard from a 2022 Sydney Challenger victory, setting up a competitive first-round best-of-three sets clash with no reported injuries.
