Flavio Cobolli, ranked No. 16 with a career-high of No. 13 from March, enters the BMW Open round of 32 on Munich's outdoor clay as the higher-seeded player against No. 58 Marton Fucsovics in their first head-to-head matchup. Cobolli rides momentum from his Acapulco hard-court title last month but stumbled early at Monte-Carlo last week with a R32 loss to a qualifier, testing his clay transition after a strong 59% ATP win rate on the surface. Fucsovics, mired in a 6-8 2026 season, exited Monte-Carlo in R1 to Alejandro Tabilo amid ongoing form struggles despite a solid career 57% clay record. No injuries reported; potential cool Munich weather could influence play on the slower clay.
