Mikhail Kukushkin holds a clear edge over Jie Cui in their ATP Challenger Wuning 2 round-of-32 clash on outdoor hard courts, reflecting trader consensus on his higher ranking (283 vs. 398), veteran experience (career-high No. 39), and 1-0 head-to-head lead from a straight-sets win in the 2024 Porto Challenger. Both arrive off recent first-round losses—Cui fell 7-6(3), 7-6(3) to August Holmgren in Wuning 1 last week, while Kukushkin dropped 6-3, 6-3 to Daniil Glinka in Barletta on March 30—highlighting modest 2026 form (Cui 9-6 overall, 3-5 hard; Kukushkin 19-12). No injury reports or withdrawals noted; mild 17°C weather favors play, with Kukushkin's career hard-court dominance (259-181) outweighing Cui's home-crowd boost.
