Tomas Martin Etcheverry holds a perfect 2-0 head-to-head edge over Jack Draper, including a straight-sets retirement win on clay at Roland Garros, giving the No. 30-ranked Argentine an early psychological advantage in their Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell Round of 32 clash on outdoor clay. Etcheverry, a clay-court specialist fresh off his 2026 Rio title and recovered from a February left leg injury, boasts a strong 15-7 YTD record with recent Houston success, while No. 25 seed Draper returns from an arm injury that caused Monte Carlo withdrawal, limiting prep on the surface where his power game faces adaptation challenges. Mild Barcelona weather with possible light drizzle looms as a minor factor.
