Rising Spanish teenager Rafael Jodar, riding a six-match ATP win streak capped by his Marrakech title run—including a dominant 6-2, 6-1 semifinal clay-court victory over Camilo Ugo Carabelli 11 days ago—advances as wild card after thrashing compatriot Jaume Munar 6-1, 6-2 in Barcelona Open first-round play. The No. 57-ranked 19-year-old benefits from home-crowd energy on familiar clay against the No. 64-ranked Argentine, who notched a strong upset over No. 4 seed Karen Khachanov 6-3, 6-4 yesterday. Jodar's aggressive baseline prowess and head-to-head edge shape trader consensus in this ATP 500 round-of-16 matchup, though Carabelli's clay experience keeps it competitive.
