Fajing Sun, ranked No. 251 with a career high of 198, holds the edge as the home favorite on hard courts in the Wuning 1 Challenger round of 16 against No. 364 Philip Sekulic in their first head-to-head matchup. Sun advanced comfortably in the first round, defeating Ethan Cook 7-5, 6-4 on April 7, showcasing solid baseline play without dropping a set. Sekulic, a 22-year-old Australian, grinded out a tougher three-setter over Maximus Jones (6-2, 6-7(6), 7-6(5)) the same day, building momentum from his recent M25 Mumbai ITF title but risking fatigue on short turnaround. No injury concerns reported; trader consensus weighs Sun's ranking, surface familiarity, and crowd support against Sekulic's upset potential.
