Alastair Gray holds the edge in the Nottingham 3 grass-court matchup against Oscar Weightman, reflecting his higher ATP ranking near 277 versus Weightman’s 698 and a head-to-head record favoring Gray in prior encounters. Gray brings greater recent Challenger-level experience on similar surfaces, including appearances in Eastbourne and Bengaluru events, while Weightman has competed primarily in ITF M25 tournaments with mixed hard-court results leading into the grass swing. Both players face typical grass-court variables such as serve dominance and quick points, with Gray’s physical advantages in height and reach potentially amplifying baseline and net play. The contest occurs in a lower-tier professional event where recent match fitness and adaptation to British grass conditions will shape outcomes more than long-term career trajectories.
