In the Wuning 1 Challenger final on hard courts in China, unranked higher Harry Wendelken (No. 237) faces Pavel Kotov (No. 299) in their first head-to-head matchup. Wendelken has dominated the draw without dropping a set, firing 14 aces across four matches—including straight-set semifinal wins over Li Tu (6-2, 6-2) and prior victories against Sergey Fomin and Clement Chidekh—bolstered by an 78% first-serve points won rate. Kotov, taller at 191cm with superior power (37 aces in the tournament), dropped two sets but rallied past Fajing Sun 2-1 in the semis after grinding earlier rounds. No injuries reported; Wendelken's efficiency edges trader consensus amid Kotov's size advantage and hard-court experience.
