This aligns with partly cloudy skies, light southerly winds, and lingering frontal influences capping intensification amid typical early May climatology, where average highs hover around 23°C. Model forecasts from JMA and ECMWF had converged on this range pre-event, reflecting stable atmospheric conditions. Realistic challenges include a rare late-afternoon heat burst exceeding 23.5°C or post hoc data revisions from outlier stations, though final daily summaries expected within hours render shifts improbable.
