The Miami Marlins enter the three-game road series against the Athletics with a stronger overall record near .524 and a firmer position in the NL East playoff chase. Miami’s recent form includes competitive results against contenders, though key injuries to catcher Liam Hicks and starter Janson Junk have thinned depth behind the plate and in the rotation. The Athletics sit at .476, managing day-to-day absences for infielder Jacob Wilson and outfielder Tyler Soderstrom while playing at Sutter Health Park. Home-field factors and bullpen usage will shape late-inning outcomes across the July 3–5 slate, with both clubs facing schedule pressure heading into the All-Star break.
