Ekaterina Alexandrova's lower back injury prompted her withdrawal from the Charleston Open last week, casting doubt on her fitness despite a dominant 6-2, 6-2 first-round win over qualifier Gabriela Knutson at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. No. 14 seed Linda Noskova overcame a set deficit to beat Shuai Zhang 5-7, 6-1, 6-4 in her opener, showcasing resilience on indoor clay. Alexandrova leads their head-to-head 1-0 from a 2025 hardcourt quarterfinal, but this marks their first clay clash; her strong Stuttgart history (semifinals in 2025) contrasts Noskova's rising form amid both players' top-15 power baselines. Trader consensus reflects a tight matchup, with recent health and R1 momentum key variables.
