Elon Musk announced on March 10 that X Money, the payments and digital wallet feature inside the X platform, would begin early public access the following month. Limited beta testing has since produced user reports of features such as 6% APY on deposits, a Visa debit card, peer-to-peer transfers, and cash-back rewards, supported by money-transmitter licenses and a Cross River Bank partnership. Regulatory scrutiny, including a Senate Banking Committee request for details on the April rollout, and the need for broader compliance have contributed to a measured pace. Traders are watching for any official confirmation of wider availability or further delays amid X’s push to build an everything-app ecosystem that competes with Venmo and Cash App.
