In the BMW Open quarterfinals on Munich's clay courts, fourth-seeded Flavio Cobolli (ATP No. 16) holds the edge with a strong recent run, including a straight-sets 6-2, 6-3 win over Zizou Bergs after Francisco Cerundolo's retirement in the second round opener. Challenger specialist Vit Kopriva (No. 77), entering unseeded, has impressed by ousting Justin Engel 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 in the first round and upsetting sixth seed Luciano Darderi to advance, showcasing his clay prowess with a career 289-185 record on the surface. Their head-to-head favors Kopriva 2-0, both on clay, though Cobolli's higher ranking, serve advantage, and form from recent titles like Acapulco tilt trader consensus toward the Italian in this best-of-three matchup. No injury concerns reported ahead of the April 17 clash.
